My work and my philosophy
Take risks. Reject gate-keeping. Do things. Redefine success. Life is messy, embrace it.
I am a creative musician, facilitator, technologist, mentor, educator and community builder. I work with groups and individuals, using innovative techniques, tools and technology to create and explore music, sound and self-expression in ways that are meaningful to them. At its heart, my work is about bringing people together, listening and collaborating.
I believe that music and art are fundamental human activities and I strive to create spaces where curiosity, play, expression and connection are encouraged and made possible through care and safety.
Collaboration is foundational to everything I do and I am committed to working flexibly and responsively with a person-centred and participant-led approach. I create opportunities to find joy and freedom in creative and musical expression, empowering people to turn their ideas into reality. I establish the context in which people are able to thrive and build the scaffolding and systems that allow each individual to participate in a way that is chosen by them; they direct the process and define what success looks like for themselves.
Through 15 years working in the community music and education sphere I have developed a core philosophy of radical inclusion and a deep understanding of the transformative power of meaningful creative participation. I believe that through honesty and authenticity we have the power to build the communities, cultures and ways of being that reflect the richness, complexity and diversity of life.

My work takes me across charities, community groups, local authorities and grassroots organisations, where I work with groups and individuals, bringing creative music making to children and adults with disabilities, additional support needs, neurodivergence, teenagers in need of extra support and those who have been traditionally excluded from music making activities.
I'm passionate about providing inclusive approaches that allow people to engage with music authentically and create bespoke solutions through the development and implementation of novel technologies, systems and techniques, which allow access to music making that would have otherwise been difficult or unreachable.
I am an active sound designer, composer and performer, drawn to deep exploration of sound, micro-interaction, phase and dissonance. I am fascinated by the way in which sound contextualises our lives, what it can tell us and what it can hold as we move through the world.
I write and perform with the instrumental band Idiogram; our debut album, Reunion of Broken Parts (2025), received strong reviews and our live shows, which pair traditional instrumentation with technology and live visuals, have been described as an immersive, multi-sensory experience.
I believe that the arts hold power to heal and connect, build confidence, communication, self-worth and can give voice to the implicit intricacy of human existence... and everyone has a right to that experience.
